Ramblings from the Lake

Just some ramblings - a little poetry, some Creative Non-fiction, a picture of two - from Lake Hebron as I sit here on the front porch, staring across the water, listening to the loons, and enjoying the life of a retired English teacher. The Apples

In autumn, the apples announce the season,

boldly proclaiming it in red and green and golden

fruit, sweet and tart, ripe, and fit for picking:

this our reward at the end of a long summer,

readying us for the winter months ahead.
